Concrete CO2 - Petition to Support A8617B

Sign the petition to support Assemblymember Robert Carroll's Low Embodied Carbon Concrete Leadership Act, or LECCLA, (A8617B)

Concrete is not only a major source of carbon emissions (mostly because of its main ingredient, cement), but also has the potential to utilize and store CO2 in its mass, locking away the greenhouse gas safely and securely, pretty much forever.

The Low Embodied Carbon Concrete Leadership Act (LECCLA) would require New York State to base its procurement of concrete for public and state funded projects on climate impact.

After you sign the petition, visit the campaign website for more information about A8617B, why concrete matters to the climate, and how you can get involved as a citizen in a grassroots effort to make LECCLA law in New York State and beyond!
